Hi! 

I'm Blaize.  I'm mostly based in Los Angeles, CA, though I spend time in many other places as well.  

I'm passionate about embodied, holistic wellness.  This journey has been life-long.

I was raised in Vermont in a loving yet often tumultuous home.  I survived several forms of abuse and trauma throughout my life and then had an unplanned pregnancy shortly after moving to LA in 2016.  

.

I began to fervently seek out change for myself and my child.  I changed my relational patterns, my communication patterns, and healed my dance with Complex PTSD, BiPolar Disorder, Hashimoto's, Fibromyalgia, disorganized attachment, arthritis, chronic fatigue and pain, and a battle with thyroid cancer.

This was not done in a vacuum!  It took TONS of support from therapists, coaches, energy healers, retreats, educational programs, books, friends, family and TIME.  And it will be an ongoing unfolding into healing.

I was a sex worker in various spaces on and off from 2014 to 2023.  While in moments this felt empowering, it was ultimately unsafe and re-traumatizing.  It was a step on my journey to claiming my body, my story, my healing.  It was a chapter that needed to end for the deepest healing to begin.  I stand in solidarity with sex workers for their rights and safety.  In a utopic world, this work would be cherished as the highest most sacred profession.  In the reality in which most of us live, it is not that.  I had to let go of these identities and modes of work to make room for everything else I offer now, and to heal.  I love to support current and former sex workers on their embodied journies.

I found boundaried, safe clothing optional spaces during my pregnancy and began teaching yoga in 2018.  Combining these two things and offering nude yoga became a key part of my healing and the work I offer.

I've studied somatics from a young age starting with dance as a kid, and then countless acting programs that studied the body (Alexander Technique, Linklater breath and voice, etc).

Because of my own struggles, I began to study these practices in a way that focused on mental health and wellness.  Many years of this study and countless programs have been put into the support I now offer as a somatic coach.

 

Because of all of the above, I am especially passionate about helping people who struggle in similar ways.  Coaching around non-violent communication and embodied communication is at the heart of what I do.  I am passionate about supporting those who need transformation of their own harmful communication patterns and those who have been on the receiving end of violent or abusive communication.   I love to support former and current sex workers, and patrons of sex work.  I love to support families who need to reshape their communication patterns.  I am passionate about supporting those with invisible disabilities, auto-immune issues, neuro-spicy folx, LGBTQIA+ community and those outside the gender binary, those exploring non-traditional relating of all kinds including polyamory and other non-traditional romantic relating.  I help those who live with different energetic rhythms such as bi-polar, cyclothymia, and CPTSD.  I believe somatics can be applied to all kinds of growth and transformation, these are the areas I have more extensive experience personally and professionally.

My life has blossomed in such an incredible way.  The life that is available to us is unlimited when we do the work!  We are truly infinite.  I am so blessed by the journey through my own pain and the healing that I know is available to each and every one of us no matter what our story is.  We have THIS lifetime to experience, to learn, to grow, and to feel, and to heal.  What could possibly matter more?  I dare you to do it.
